OUAT – Ginnifer on Once Upon A Time and her character Snow White

Ginnifer Goodwin talked to the Chicago Tribune recently about her role as Snow White and what she loves most about it. We all know that Snow White was her favorite fairyale character. In this Road to the Emmy’s interview, Ginny had a lot to say about Once Upon A Time and the challenge in playing two characters.

Ginnifer Goodwin in ‘Once Upon a Time’: Road to the Emmys 2012: The Actress

Ginnifer Goodwin knew she was in for a workout by signing on to play two characters on ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” — the virtuous Snow White and her real-world counterpart, elementary school teacher Mary Margaret. But she didn’t know that by the end of the fairy-tale drama’s first season she’d be playing a third role, as aspects of Snow White and Mary Margaret’s personalities blur together when the stakes grow for the cursed residents of Storybrooke, Maine.

OUAT – A look back at Snow White

By Barbara Vancheri and Sharon Eberson / Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Snow White has been mesmerizing moviegoers and TV watchers with a smile and a song — and, now, a sword — since 1937 when Disney released its first full-length animated feature.

Television has gotten into the act and two months ago, “Mirror Mirror” arrived in theaters. Today, “Snow White and the Huntsman” breathes new life into the fairy tale that dates to 1812.

A look at the raven-haired beauty, a woman who gave stepmothers everywhere an undeserved black eye, and a story that has endured in various formats, including as a silent film, a Three Stooges comedy, a 1987-88 sitcom, “The Charmings,” and Showtime’s 1997 “Snow White: A Tale of Terror” featuring Sigourney Weaver.
‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’

Summary: (1937) — Gorgeously, painstakingly created over three years, the first full-length, cel-animated feature film elevated Disney to a major player on movie screens and introduced such song standards as “Whistle While You Work” and “Some Day My Prince Will Come.”

Snow White — Adriana Caselotti (the then 18-year-old from an operatic family had uncredited vocal roles in “The Wizard of Oz” and “It’s a Wonderful Life”).

Evil Queen — Lucille La Verne (the final movie role for the longtime stage and screen actress, who died in 1945 at age 72).

Prince — Harry Stockwell (father of actors Dean Stockwell and Guy Stockwell).

Disney – OUAT costumes in DCA

Besides the new entry gate and Cars Land, other new items have magically appeared in Disney’s California Adventure.

If you make your way over to the Off the Page store (in the windows along the sidewalk) located in the Hollywood Pictures backlot section, you will see some very cool “Once Upon a Time” costumes, and a very important book.

Maleficent’s dress (and hair horns), Prince Charming leather costume, Queen Regina’s dress she work prominently in the Pilot are there.

as well as Snow White’s dress she work in the Pilot (and in “A Land Without Magic”)

and Henry’s magical Fairy Tale book.

The reflection in the window was a tough foe, but we did our best, here are some more shots.

Note: See the gold around her waist. Mr. Gold’s influence is never too far from Snow White, it seems.
